The Press Chess Competition is an interschool chess tournament between teams of four players run in Canterbury, New Zealand.
Winning teams progress to the national final that is organised by the New Zealand Chess Federation.
Entries for the 2010 competition are now closed. For queries about your zone, please contact your Zone Master.

The North Canterbury Chess Club will be running their qualifying rounds on August 1.
The South Island championship is being hosted at Ashburton Intermediate on August 31 / September 1. Four teams per section from the Press Chess Competition may progress to the championship.
The New Zealand final is being hosted at Christchurch Boys' High School on the weekend of September 25/26 in the school holidays. Only one team per section from the Press Chess Competition has automatic entry to the final this year.
